Trade in your old drive and get $15 cash back :-
When you purchase a DVD drive replacement kit you get a complete new Xbox DVD drive,
a set of tools, and instructions on how to take out your old drive and put the new one in.
This is really very easy to do, I've sold well over two thousand kits and literally not one
single person has had a problem with it. When you're done you'll have your old broken
DVD drive in hand which you can throw away, horde in the attic (like me), or trade it in if
it's a Thomson brand which is by far the most common.
Below you'll see pictures of the CD trays for the three main DVD drives that came out in
different Xboxes over the years. Thomson drives are the only ones I can use at this point
but there's a very good chance that there's a Thomson brand drive in your Xbox right now.
To find out just eject the tray and compare it to the pictures below. (If your Xbox DVD
drive is completely dead and won't eject you can look on the page to see how to manually
open it). If your drive turns out to be a Thomson you can send it to me (untampered with
please), in the same box you get the new drive in. As soon as I get it I'll refund $15 of
your original purchase price which brings it down to a grand total of $47.10 instead of
$62.10. This includes the postage on the kit too so it's not a bad deal at all. You can click
the "click here to purchase" button at the bottom of this page if you want to go ahead and
get one or just go back to the main pages. I don't need any advance notice for the trade in,
it's just a matter of having your old Thomson drive arrive here with your name on it when
the time comes. The instructions that come with the kit explain what to do and you won't
need promo codes or receipts or anything, it's all very straightforward. Thanks, Lynn
